Lather, Rinse, Repeat

We continue along the ICW.  It's like shampooing your hair:  lather, rinse, repeat.  Our days are remarkable similar even though the scenery changes.  Despite the routine of it all, we are all quite content.  Our days begin early, around 6:00 a.m. Ryan and I get up and untie the boat and take off.  The kids usually wander to the cockpit a half hour or so later.  We travel down the ICW for 6-8 hours then tie up somewhere and go ashore to explore.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

Tuesday we made it to Surf City, Wednesday to Cape Fear/Southport.

We wandered into an eclectic toy store.  The children needed light sabers, you see.  We have 75 of them at home, but none on the boat.  And there's so much room on the boat for playing with them . . . .

Yesterday we crossed the state line into South Carolina and stayed in Myrtle Beach.  I thought we might want to  stay here a couple of days until I realized it was exactly like Panama City Beach.  We woke up with the same sentiment this morning "Let's blow the popsicle stand."  Now we are headed to Georgetown.  Tomorrow we'll make Charleston.  We'll stay there a couple of days, and hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can head offshore.  When we go offshore we'll head to Jekyll Island, or if the weather is really good, St. Augustine.  I'd like to be near Miami for Evan's birthday in 2 weeks.  Until then, our days continue . . . . more of the same adventure.
